Safe
Start Demonstration Project Five Year Report (2000-2005)
This
five year report was developed by Community Science for the Office of Juvenile
Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) for the Safe Start Initiative.
The report consists of two parts: 1) creating a comprehensive system
of care for children exposed to violence, and 2) a report of each
Safe Start demonstration project site across the five years of the
initiative.

Evaluation 2005
Community Science
conducted an annual process evaluation that focused on Safe Start
grantee implementation processes and clients served. This report
highlights how grantees helped their communities create comprehensive,
coordinated, and knowledge-based service delivery systems for children
exposed to violence and their families.

Evaluation 2004
Community Science
conducted a process evaluation for the Safe Start National Evaluation
consisting of two parts: 1) an analysis and report of the implementation
process across all 11 Safe Start demonstration sites, and 2) a report
of each Safe Start demonstration sites implementation process for
2004, except for the Native American demonstration site reports
which describe the implementation process from 2002 until 2004 (included
in Volume II, a separate document). This report focuses on the cross-site
implementation process findings.
